Reporting to the AR Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing a the Group’s incoming payments and ensuring that outstanding invoices are collected on time.
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and contributing to the smooth financial operations of a business. Key Responsibilities include:
- Receipting customer payments and communicating to customers the company rebate policy
- Ensuring payment before stock release
- Distribution of customer statements
- Following up and resolving any discrepancies with the allocation of customer payments.
- Reconciling customer accounts, ensuring all outstanding invoices are followed up with customers & resolved in a timely manner.
- Credit Control
- Credit and COD Account Applications
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial administration. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- At least 5 years experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
- A proactive and organised approach to work, with strong time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different teams.
- Confidence using accounting software, we use Business Central.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A Certificate IV in Accounting (highly regarded but not essential).
