The AMA will be on the ground at this year’s Music China, from 22nd-25th October at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Alex Masso, AMA CEO, will represent the association, meet with Australian delegates, and promote the Australian industry and Australian made products.
This year’s presence will be the first of its kind for the AMA, presenting as an exhibitor at a major international trade show. The project is inspired by the coordinated approach taken by Sounds Australia for Australian music, motivated by the AMA’s own members’ involvement in this show, and supported by Music Australia and Music China.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us,” said Alex Masso, CEO of the Australian Music Association. “We know that Music China is the second most important international show for our members overall, and it’s very important for particular businesses and particular reasons. I’ll be there to talk about Australia, Australian made products, and the Australian industry.”
Delegates can find the AMA in the exhibitor guide, drop by the AMA booth, and arrange a time to meet with Alex.
Several Australian brands and AMA members will be represented at the show including Kentville Drums, PUG Cymbals, and Leatherwood Bespoke Rosin.
The AMA is supported by the Australian Government through Music Australia, and supports exporters through the Music Australia International Conference Contribution (MAICC) fund. The first round of funding in 2025 included two grants to attend Music China and others to attend The NAMM Show and Guitar Summit.
