SOUND SUMMIT AUSTRALIA BRINGS AUSTRALIA’S MUSIC TECHNOLOGY COMMUNITY TOGETHER IN MELBOURNE THIS SEPTEMBER

Australia’s music makers, synth enthusiasts, DJs, producers and gear obsessives will come together at Melbourne’s Howler on Sunday 13 September for Sound Summit 2026 – a new community-focused event dedicated to music technology and the people who use it.

Presented by Store DJ and Mannys Music, Sound Summit brings artists, brands and the wider music-making community together under one roof for a full day of live workshops, performances, industry conversations and hands-on experiences.

Taking over three spaces at Howler in Brunswick, the event will feature a packed program spanning synthesis, DJing, production, sound design and live electronic performance.

From bedroom producers and vinyl selectors to modular synth builders, working DJs and lifelong gear nerds, Sound Summit has been created as a place for Australia’s diverse music technology community to meet, enjoy performances, learn, experiment and share ideas.

Artists, producers and industry innovators

The inaugural Sound Summit program brings together an eclectic mix of Australian artists alongside international product designers and specialists.

The line-up includes oFlynn, Harvey Sutherland, Luke Million, SHOUSE, Sampology, Simon Mavin of Hiatus Kaiyote, Frank Booker, Honeysmack, Tom Cosm, Dean Walliss, Michael Belsar and SANOI, alongside Yuki Ohta from KORG Japan and Max Ravitz from Moog USA, with more appearing throughout the day.

Across the three spaces, attendees can move between artist-led workshops, live performances, industry panels and product sessions while getting hands-on with the instruments and technology being discussed.

Rather than simply putting the latest gear on display, Sound Summit is designed around seeing and hearing how artists actually use these tools – from synthesis and sound design to sampling, DJ performance and building a modern electronic live show.

A ticket that pays for itself

Sound Summit is also making the day as accessible as possible for the music-making community.

Tickets are $30, with every ticket including a $30 Store DJ / Mannys Music Gift Voucher.

That means attendees can spend the value of their admission back on gear through Store DJ or Mannys Music, while gaining access to the full day of Sound Summit programming.
