About the role:

We are searching for our next valued team-member to fill a role as despatch and warehouse assistant. Candidates suitable for this role will be considered on their merits.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Picking, packing and sending orders for the entire business: online, education, wholesale, rentals, and general sales.
  • Maintaining the warehouse including restocking, reorganising, collapsing cardboard for recycling, and general tidying duties
  • Helping to receive shipments – physically unpacking containers/pallets as well as helping to label and put stock away
  • Assisting with stock takes and updating shelf locations
  • Organising and ordering packing materials
  • Assisting with deliveries across Sydney metro using the company van (automatic), you will be required to maintain a valid Australian Driver’s License
  • Moving stock to and from our offsite storage facilities
  • Completing scheduled stock takes, and on the spot stock takes when stock discrepancies are found
  • Occasional assistance with answering online order enquiries when needed
  • Learning relevant product information to ensure safe delivery of all shipments.

This team member will be based in our High St. Chatswood location. It is a full-time position – Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in a warehouse, retail or wholesale environment
  • A valid Australian Driver’s License
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • The ability and willingness to lift boxes containing stock
  • A friendly, helpful nature with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Enthusiasm to learn new skills, new products, systems and processes
  • The ability to communicate effectively with our customers and other team members
  • An openness and willingness to improve processes and accept change
  • Basic computer skills including spreadsheets and word documents. Training in our internal communications platforms, customer relationship management (CRM), and website software will be provided. We currently use Microsoft Teams for internal communications, Odoo for CRM, and Shopify for our web stores. If you have previous experience using any of these programs this is a bonus.

In addition, the successful candidate must be reliable and punctual. They should take pride in their presentation, personal and otherwise, and they should have the ability to work well by themselves and as part of a team.
