Rob and Joy Trickett founded Australian Music Teachers Register in Melbourne in 1994, with a strong belief in integrity and excellent service to both music teachers and students alike. Their daughter, Carolyn Trickett, took over Australian Music Teachers Register upon their retirement in 2009 – dedicating herself to following their legacy and philosophy of personal service. We may be ‘online’, but we’re here to assist you just like in the ‘old days’.

We are now an online music teacher directory that lists music teachers who offer music lessons and services for a comprehensive range of music instruments, specialties, styles, subjects, methods and more.

As at September 2021, on average well over 18,000 visitors per month came to our website to search for a music teacher!
