Based in Sydney Australia, drummer / educator James Waples has been forging his own path as a cymbalsmith under the branding PUG Cymbals since 2019. As an active musician he has performed and toured with Australian / international jazz greats for the past 20 years. PUG Cymbals is focused on creating unique cymbals influenced by the great companies / independent cymbalsmiths of the past as well as exploring contemporary sounds for the future.
