Australia’s biggest Guitar Show is returning to Melbourne in 2027

Here’s where we’re up to:

In 2025 we moved the Melbourne Guitar Show successfully to a new venue, Melbourne Showgrounds
We decided that a two-year interval was right for that show, having had that exact gap since the 2023 show. The next show was always set to be held in March 2027.
In the ‘in-between’ year, we tested the idea of a Sydney Guitar Show. That was also great!
Now we have a two-year plan to hold the Melbourne Guitar Show in March 2027, and Sydney Guitar Show in March 2028.

The dates for MGS27 are 20th-21st March, 2027. Exhibitor registrations will open in September 2026, and ticket sales will open in December 2026.

If you want to be involved:

Exhibitors (retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, services, luthiers, any relevant businesses): the process is to register as an exhibitor, this process will commence in September and details will be provided in the prospectus.
Artists wanting to perform: we take pitches via email, that’s it. There is no guarantee of being programmed and fortunately for all of us but unfortunately for some artists, there are so many amazing musicians that would fit the program and we simply can’t fit them all in. There is no application process, the program is curated based on what we need. ‘Cold’ pitches are rarely chosen but it honestly does not hurt to email us and we are not so overwhelmed with proposals that we won’t look. If you have the perfect thing for this kind of show, let us know!

Everybody else: come to the show, it will be very easy to get a ticket in advance or at the door and it will be a great weekend. Tickets are available (and cheaper) in December.
