Music Australia International Conference Contribution (MAICC)

About | Criteria | T&C’sApply in Round 1

The Australian Music Association is one of several industry associations partnering with Music Australia to support Australian music businesses and professionals with export development.

The Music Australia International Conference Contribution (MAICC) program is a devolved funding program, with up to $5000 per applicant to attend relevant international conferences that support export development. This is funding from Music Australia, the Australian Government’s agency supporting contemporary music, via the Australian Music Association.

The AMA only supports exporters of music products (musical instruments and accessories, pro audio equipment, music technology, and print music), not including recorded music products. If you do not fall into this category, consider applying for MAICC funding via the Association of Artist Managers (AAM), Australian Live Music Business Council (ALMBC), Australasian Music Publishers Association (AMPAL) or the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR).

About MAICC

Designed to ease the financial burden for music products manufacturers/exporters who are attending a major international music conference or trade show, MAICC funding financially supports selected AMA members with demonstrated potential in a specific international market. Applicants may receive funding to support attendance as an exhibitor, and/or undertake an substantive reconnaissance trip at a major music products event, during a critical moment in their export development. The program provides contributions of up to $5000 AUD to selected AMA members.

This game-changing funding initiative, first established in 2023 by Music Australian and the AAM, has supported hundreds of professionals in artist management, music publishing and record labels to attend a major international music conferences such as SXSW, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn Festival, A2IM Indie Week, CMA Fest, and many niche industry events.
