Music EDnet, a leading provider of technology for music, media and the performing arts in education, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kye Thomas as the company’s new General Manager. Kye brings a wealth of experience to his role, with a professional journey deeply rooted in the music industry. His career began as an audio engineer and music producer, where he worked extensively with commercial and emerging artists in Melbourne’s finest recording studios.

Kye also served as a live sound engineer, spending two years as the in-house audio technician/engineer at Melbourne’s iconic Esplanade Hotel. In the early 2000s, Kye transitioned into music technology training, eventually founding the specialist music and sound production RTO (Registered Training Organisation) COSAMP in 2009. Under his leadership, COSAMP became Australia’s leading music RTO for VET (Vocational Education and Training) in Schools, supporting hundreds of programs nationwide each year. The organization provided industry-specific, technology-driven learning resources and teacher professional development.

With a robust background in senior business management and leadership, Kye brings not only extensive industry knowledge but also a passion for incorporating technology into music, media and performing arts education. His expertise extends to assisting schools in the design and setup of music, audio, and live production training programs, particularly in the VET in Schools space.
