Our vast online presence is supported by a large Online Orders Department. This position is a key part of our retail team and reports to the Store Manager. Based at Mannys Music North Fitzroy, you will support and manage team of customer facing sales staff, assist the Store Manager in overseeing all daily operations of the Musical Instruments Department, enable your team to reach sales targets while delivering best sales and customer service practice.

Regular Duties Include:

  • Alignment to SoundBay’s culture, purpose and values.
  • Managing the roster, attendance, punctuality, overall performance, and culture of Sales Consultants.
  • Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, category, and brand presentation of the Department.
  • Remain up to date with product knowledge, facilitate product learning while liaising with purchasing department for upcoming launches and inventory requirements.
  • Empower and motivate your direct reports to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals by offering training guidance and management.
  • Ensure company and industry safety requirements are upheld.
  • Meet KPI’s, targets and deadlines as set by your manager, and enable your team to meet their targets.
  • Investigate & resolve any discrepancies on sales orders.
  • Oversee the implementation of sales procedures, as well demonstrate exemplary service and sales technique.
  • Support and oversee staff in the use of digital platforms including Pronto, Zendesk and Microsoft applications, for sales, inventory management, customer enquiries, warranty department requests, and internal communications.
  • Other one-off duties as directed by the Store Manager, including stocktake.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Experience in leading a customer facing retail team.
  2. Practical experience with Musical Instruments in the Mannys Musical Instruments range (guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects pedals and other accessories).
  3. Highly developed skills in sales and customer service.
