National Retail Association and Australian Music Association Form Powerful Alliance

The National Retail Association, Australia’s most representative retail industry organisation, and the Australian Music Association, the renowned industry body for the music products sector, are thrilled to announce their strategic partnership aimed at supporting, informing and representing the retailers and wholesaler’s landscape. This exciting collaboration brings together two industry leaders with a shared vision to support and represent members of the Retail Industry.

The partnership between the National Retail Association and the Australian Music Association signifies a strong commitment to combine the collective expertise, resources, and networks of both associations. By joining forces, we seek to leverage their strengths and complementary skill sets to drive growth, foster collaboration, and amplify the impact of their respective initiatives.

This collaboration represents a powerful alliance that will enable us to accelerate progress and create a positive impact within the Retail industry. By combining our expertise and resources, we will strengthen our collective ability to address key challenges, drive innovation, and unlock new opportunities for our members,” said Greg Griffith, CEO of the National Retail Association.

“The two associations do very different work but both share a strong commitment to supporting retailers,” said AMA Executive Officer, Alex Masso. “The National Retail Association has a track record of working with specialist industry associations like ours, together we will provide more services for our members to even greater support for the music products industry.”

Members of the Australian Music Association will gain access to the support and services of the National Retail Association at no extra cost. The support includes unlimited access to the 1800 RETAIL hotline that provides advice and resources on issues including rates of pay, performance management or disciplinary procedures, leave entitlements and how to deal with discrimination, bullying and sexual harassment complaints.

Australian Music Association members will also be invited to provide insights on critical areas impacting the industry and to work with various Departments within the National Retail Association. In addition, the Association will access policy advice advocating for lower tax rates for business, simplifying and providing consistency for payroll tax, reducing the impact of retail crime and aggression, assisting businesses to navigate State and Territory single-use plastic bans and sustainability related questions, queries on ESG and modern slavery and the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security on Australian Retail businesses.
