We are a leader in online instrument retail and are unlike most guitar shops! We sell our own brand of guitars, drums and accessories direct to the public through our Yennora showroom and our online stores in Australia, New Zealand, UK and the US. We’re renowned for our great value products and first-class customer service.

We’re looking for a new Showroom & Online Sales Assistant to join our Customer Happiness team! We’re open to either a casual or full-time working arrangement for the right candidate.

This is an ideal position for a friendly and outgoing person who is experienced in customer service, has guitar knowledge and is gear savvy. The ideal candidate for this position should be comfortable working autonomously and have great time management. Being an E-Commerce business we rely on a number of computer systems, so to be suitable for this position you will need a good level of computer literacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for our showroom face-to-face sales, email/live chat/phone enquiries, warranty claims, assisting with warehouse duties and handling website admin tasks.

An average day in this role is likely to be around 80% computer-based tasks and 20% assisting customers in the showroom.

This is an exciting position with an assortment of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with customer service via email, live chat and on the phone
  • Troubleshooting customer enquiries
  • Troubleshooting delivery enquiries
  • Troubleshooting technical enquiries
  • Assisting with warranty claims
  • Assisting with admin tasks
  • Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties

What we are looking for:

  • Strong computer literacy, accurate data entry and a high level of attention to detail
  • You must be process-driven and willing to take direction
  • Good work ethic
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • The ability to use initiative and think on your feet
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Good knowledge of gear related to guitars, amps and pedals
  • Basic knowledge of bass, drums, pro audio and violins
  • The ability to troubleshoot a customer’s problem over the phone or via email
  • Experience buying through online stores and eBay
  • Experience working in a customer service position
  • Experience with Freshdesk, Neto or other e-commerce systems is a bonus but not essential
