Innovative Music Australia was recently acquired by Sound Group.
Innovative Music specialises in bringing unique high technology music & audio products to the Australian market, representing a wide range of Synthesisers, Controllers, Microphones, Audio Interfaces, Music Software, DJ Equipment, Guitar Pedals and Amplifiers together with a complete range of Audio and Specialist Cables. Their current brands include Strandberg, Eventide, AVID, Kemper, Ferrofish, Morley, Soundbrenner, Reason, and many others.
An announcement sent to dealers said “Innovative Music will operate as a stand-alone unit, alongside Sound Group’s existing distribution brands CMI Music & Audio and Australis Music Group, with existing sales staff continuing in their roles to ensure a seamless transition. Our stock will be transferred to their state-of-the-art Broadmeadows warehouse which will allow for a faster and more efficient fulfilment process.”
Innovative Music Australia was founded by Steve Lincoln-Smith in 1989, Hal Leonard Australia acquired a majority interest in 2016.
