The Caulfield Racecourse has been booked again for early August 4 – 5, 2018 and the show committee will be looking to improve the show further. Nearly 5,000 people enjoyed a weekend of product and performance and we think there is even more potential if we get more engagement from the industry next year.
This is what some of the people have said about past shows.
Just wanted to formally congratulate you on organising an outstanding success of a Guitar Show, by any measure.
- Lots and lots of guitar enthusiasts keen to see, touch AND BUY the latest in guitar gear,
- A very high participation rate by Retailers and Wholesalers in providing product for the punters to look at,
- A successful venue that worked really well in terms of parking, access and good space.
Please pass my thanks on to the AMA committee for supporting you to get the idea off the ground. I really hope they are keen to see it continue,
I must congratulate you on the MGS it surpassed all of our expectations and more
We had people constantly on our stand the whole two days with huge interest in the history and the current products
I just wanted to say thanks for everything that you did so as to put on the show. It was a huge success, we were blown away by the number of punters, the number of stands and the number of sales. I don’t think that anyone could have asked for more than the opportunities that you provided for us all.
Thanks again for your huge efforts.

Also thanks for a GREAT Weekend at the Melbourne Guitar Show – we had a ball and found it extremely well run and organised and the crowds of punters was phenomenal and surpassed all expectations. All of the AMA crew were great as were the stage/crew guys on the outdoor stage.
We look forward to participating in the next one.
And from artists and patrons;
The show was first class – the venue, exhibitions, displays and the people attending the stands. We so enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the crowd were very courteous – I purchased an Epiphone solid-body guitar
Please pass on my compliments to all concerned
Congratulations for what was obviously a fabulously successful weekend for you and the Australian Guitar fraternity. I’m glad to have been able to play a small part in it.
