Hot Apple Distribution specialises in the supply of musical instruments, cases, bags and accessories. We exclusively represent a number of international premier brands in Australasia, catering for a broad spectrum of musical requirements; from GMI through to Band & Orchestral. The business has been developed from the ground up, our director being a professional musician, who established the business whilst touring and performing nationally over many years. We are seeking a motivated, hands-on individual with the capability to dig-in, work hard in an ever-growing business & evolving role. We are looking for someone with long term potential to become an essential link in our team & warehouse.
About You
You are a well organised & proactive with not only the ability to function independently but can also dig deep, get the job done and be part of the team on those days when boxes & customers comes at us from all angles. You have an eye for detail, and take pride in your work within our small team environment in Matraville warehouse.
You will need to pick & pack orders, unload containers, organise & record stock, whilst providing assistance to sales team & customers alike as required. A general working knowledge of instruments & instrument groups will be of benefit.
Position requires:
- Hight level of role ownership in small team environment
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail in warehouse operations & organisation
- High level of initiative
Key duties include:
- Operation of company & courier computer systems
- Picking, packing & dispatch of customer orders
- Receipt & unpacking of incoming shipments and containers
- Liaise deliveries & collections.
- Physical stock management, organisation & stock control
- Maintain & prepare backline loan equipment
- Maintain warehouse layout & safe work spaces
- Carry out product repairs as required.
- Forklift license preferred
Essential requirements:
- Be physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 20kg.
- High level of communication skills.
- Computer literate.
Desired requirements:
- Mac computer literate
- Previous experience in similar role
- Have own transport and current NSW driver’s license.
- Some previous experience in customer service
- General knowledge of musical instruments i.e Strings, Woodwind, Brass or Drums & Percussion.
We are looking for someone approx 15 hours a week over 3 day working week, with the flexibility of growing hours.
