Observations

• Like Flutes, Clarinets increased by a similar proportion in terms of Units & Value, with a slight drop in average value. This, and the trajectory of the past three years, shows a consistent pattern of growth as the Category recovers from disruptions to music education programs in 2020 & 2021.
• This Category has a very consistent pattern of imports, and the 2022 pattern more or less matched the typical pattern. The notable difference was the very high imports in the fourth quarter, the highest in a single period in the past 10 years.

Outliers & Data Issues

• There were no very low value outliers, but like the other Brass, Wind & Strings Categories there are of course small imports (one, or a few, unit/s) with a high AUV.
• Nothing was removed from this category.
