We are aware of a scam involving (or claiming to involve) pianos, it has been going around for some time but we have noticed more of this recently and heard from several members about receiving these emails.
You may receive an email claiming that the person’s late partner (or similar) had a grand piano that they would like to give to a good home. Sometimes the email comes with details, brand name, and photos.
We haven’t followed through with the process but understand that a response to the email will be followed by a request for money to cover the delivery, but there is no piano to deliver.
Be careful, and if it seems too good to be true maybe it is!
