The AMA has just received news that its application for program funding has been approved by the NAMM Foundation.
The Association’s involvement in Musical Futures commenced in 2009 with funding support from NAMM Foundation. It has grown to where over 600 teachers, many non specialist, have been trained to deliver a class room music program to now over 60,000 children (1/3 of schools are now primary). Now the Foundation has provided further seed funding to ensure that a pathway for lifelong music making is established – From School to Community. The funding will allow the industry to progress trail programs for Young Warriors as well as Weekend Warriors – programs that will have more people enjoying making music for fun, health and well-being.
