GH Music has stepped into a breach and provided its Weekend Warriors backline to assist the development of a new pilot project that seeks to assist youth with mental health issues through playing in a band. The Young Warriors program is being developed by the AMA with Melbourne University music therapists and Headspace centres with the assistance of NAMM Foundation funding. Further pilots over the coming months will be held at other headspace centres and will have a research project attached to it.
