The Australian Music Association Awards for 2024 were presented to four distinguished members of the music products industry on Tuesday at the Industry Leadership Summit in Sydney. The association revamped its tradition of presenting awards this year, with two awards in the Significant Contribution category and two for the Honour Roll.
Sandra Lindsay (Honour Roll)
Sandra was the Managing Director of Muso’s Corner, a music store located in Newcastle, New South Whales, Australia, until she sold the business recently. She purchased a small piano store and repair shop in 1967 and later renamed it Muso’s Corner and expanded to a larger location in 1994. Sandra was active in supporting the Australian Music Association and served on its board.

David Leviston (Significant Contribution)
David started his business in 1988, initially as Flute Fidelity, which eventually became Flutes & Flutists as it is known now. He built his business into one of the world’s most respected flute speciality shops, with similar businesses all around the world imitating his model and ideas. What makes David unique is his absolute undying commitment to providing the best possible service to the customer, at the expense of everything else. David relaunched the Australian Flute Festival in 2006, the largest festival of its kind in the southern hemisphere. For over 35 years, the vast majority of Australia’s professional flute players chose their instruments based on David’s recommendation and advice, making him one of the most influential voices in our community.
